Safety glazing – Acrylic is 30 times more impact resistant than glass of similar thickness. It is widely used where glass could shatter and cause injury. It is also less than half the weight of glass. Some of the areas where acrylic is commonly used are :

Polycarbonate is 250 times more impact resistant than glass, and is used for all the above applications when optimum safety is required.

Roofing

Polycarbonate roofing is available in several different types, one very efficient product is “Twinwall” which gives insulation as well as the other benefits of polycarbonate.
