High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)

rodstock4High-density polyethylene (HDPE) or polyethylene high-density (PEHD) is a polyethylene thermoplastic made from petroleum. Known for its large strength to density ratio, HDPE is commonly used in the production of plastic bottles, corrosion-resistant piping, geomembranes, and plastic lumber.

General

HDPE is rigid, tough and chemical resistant. Inert and food safe, HDPE has many uses in all industries and is resistant to many different solvents.

The lower price of HDPE makes it an economical alternative to many other materials.
